Friday September 3rd

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to the new academic year and an extra welcome to all the new families joining us this year. I have enclosed a copy of our fantastic OFSTED report that you will be delighted to read. Well done everybody!

Roofing Work

As I am sure you have noticed the new roof has not been finished on schedule due to a problem with the contactor. The work will unfortunately, be ongoing for up to 3 more weeks. In the meantime the primary school children will need to use the Children’s Centre entrance. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Attendance

As you will see from the OFSTED report, the school has worked “tirelessly to ensure pupils attend school regularly”. However we still remain well below the national average. OFSTED have set us the target of raising attendance to 94% by July 2011. This means that all children need to attend school everyday and absolutely no holidays in term time! We will be issuing fixed term penalties for unauthorised absences. Please see leaflet overleaf for your information.
