November 25th

Dear Parents and Carers,

School Council

The School Council were invited to Council House for a conference with other local School Councils on Monday 21st November. Oli and Abel write:

The Council House was very big and the ceilings had mosaics and paintings of ships. We sat in the council chamber and one of the councillors came and asked us our ideas for improving things in Bristol, then we worked in groups with children from different schools. We had a great day and learnt that we should look after Bristol and be kind to watch other and world.

Thank you to the School Council for representing the school so well, Mrs Barrett for organising it and Mr Turner for helping!

Assembly

On Thursday the school enjoyed Year 2’s brilliant assembly about Diwali. Which even included a quiz for the audience!

Harry J and Mia write:-

We have learnt about Diwali. Diwali means “festival of light”. We found out at Diwali time, people have diya lights. We made our own diva lights out of clay. We also made cardboard elephants. We made rangoli patterns and learnt how to make special Indian sweets.

Thank you to all the children, Miss Rhead and Miss Hickman for all the hard work they put in.
