Dear Parents and Carers,

 

Staff Training

Miss Bowman, Mrs Hayes, Miss Rhead and Mrs Asbury all took part in twilight training in Letters and Sounds on Monday.

Reception parents had the opportunity to take part in a reading workshop with Mrs Asbury, to help them support their children with reading.

Year 5 and Year 6 children continued their Bikeability Training.

Year 6 have done a brilliant job running the book fair and have raised an amazing £50:30 selling 2^nd hand books. Thank you to Mr Seddon and Year 6 for their hard work and all the parents and children for their support. The money is going towards buying new books for the library.  

 

Toy Library

The Children’s Centre will be running a toy and book library on Friday’s from 9:30 – 11:30. Parents are welcome to borrow a book or toy and come for a coffee and a chat.  

 

After School Club

Upper Horfield Community Trust funs a fantastic club at the school.

Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s

3:20 – 6:00

Only £3:00 a session.

Sessions can be booked at reception along with payment. Children can not be accepted without payment. 

Fancy Dress Day!

To celebrate National Book Week, on Friday 9^th October, we are giving the children an opportunity to dress up as a character from their favorite story. Children will need to pay £1:00 if they dress up – the money will go towards the buying new books for the library.

 

Illness

If your child is absent from school for any reason you must write a note.  If nothing in

writing is received then your child will be given an

unauthorised mark in the register.
